"Battlefield" Album Sampler
Posted on Jun 30, 2009 by Max 1 Comments
Yes, here's a video that has been released that has a short sample of each of the songs featured on the standard edition of "Battlefield".

I'm so excited, I'm definitely going to be listening to this over and over for the next 21 days! They all sound so good, I just cannot wait to hold this album and play it all night long haha.

And in case anyone else caught it like I did, yes that is a cover of "Don't Let It Go To Your Head" originally recorded by Fefe Dobson for her unreleased album "Sunday Love." I love her version so I'm glad Jordin did it, I know I'll love hers too.
Pre-Order "Battlefield" On iTunes Now
Posted on Jun 30, 2009 by Max 1 Comments
Yay, we can finally pre-order "Battlefield" on iTunes now! They have a choice between standard edition, $9.99, or deluxe edition, $13.99:

And yes, the mysterious track "Vertigo" has now resurfaced, the one that we all wondered about when it was not featured on the standard edition tracklisting. I'm so glad they are releasing it on one of the versions, it will be available for iTunes PRE-ORDER ONLY so make sure to reserve your copy of the deluxe edition, because for only $4 more you are getting way more bang for your buck! And plus, just seeing all that you get should convince any Jordin fan!
Jordin Sparks - "Battlefield" Deluxe Edition Cover Art HQ
Posted on Jun 28, 2009 by Max 1 Comments
I have added a HQ image of the cover art for the deluxe edition of "Battlefield to the gallery. Now that we see the full picture, I LOVE it, I really wish they would have used the full for the standard though. I can definitely accept it as the deluxe though, I'll be purchasing both anyways haha.

Please, if you do post this somewhere else credit Jordin-Online.com. Normally I wouldn't really care but I pieced this together like puzzle pieces off of Amazon and it took forever haha. It was worth it though, she looks amazing.

And I swear, gallery update coming really soon. I saved a bunch of pics earlier today I just haven't gotten the chance to sit down and resize/create thumbnails for/upload them. Very soon I hope!
Jordin Discusses New Album, Fame, and Auto-Tune
Posted on Jun 27, 2009 by Max 2 Comments
Here's an interesting little interview/article where Jordin discusses some interesting topics!

Even though she went platinum with her self-titled 2007 debut, the Arizona native still feels like she’s fighting an uphill battle.

“Personally, I don’t like Auto-Tune,” says the singer, reached at a Manhattan hotel. “I don’t feel like I need it. Sometimes I can tell when the producers and the engineers want to use it and I ask them to turn it off. Obviously they can touch up a vocal if something’s wrong, but I want people to hear me as I am.”

A plus-sized singer with pinup-girl good looks, she’s someone women of every body type can relate to. And of all the pop singers to emerge this decade, she seems the least likely to fall down drunk. Sparks credits family for keeping her in check.

“I’ve definitely seen how crazy fame can be, but I have people around me who will always tell me the truth and let me know if my head’s getting too big,” she says. “Sometimes the pressure of it all does get to me, like when people say, ‘Oh my gosh, she’s so huge.’ I’m just like, ‘Are you kidding me?’ I don’t understand why that’s such a big deal, but it is. I have to understand that people are always going to talk; that’s the nature of the industry.”

Battlefield marks something of a comeback for the singer, who suffered a career-threatening inflammation of her vocal cords last April. Now fully recovered, Sparks looks back on the injury as a wake-up call.

“That was one of the scariest things I’ve ever gone through in my life,” she explains. “Singing has always been what’s made me happy. When my voice was in jeopardy of either not sounding the same or being gone forever, I was ready to do whatever it took to get better. I’m trying to make sure it never happens again, because I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have my voice.”

I recommend reading the full article, it's so good! And I'm so glad she refuses to use Auto-Tune, while it was interesting at first it seems most songs now-a-days feature it and it's really getting completely overdone. And also with the article came an AMAZING new promo pic, she looks so good:

Jordin Freaked Out By Cell Phone Stalker
Posted on Jun 27, 2009 by Max 0 Comments
This is kind of creepy. I wouldn't say it's necessarily a stalker, but it's a seriously obsessed fan desperate to get in contact with her.
Jordin Sparks has a stalker.

The 'Battlefield' singer - who won US TV talent show 'American Idol' in 2007 - revealed she started getting strange phone messages after one of her friends posted her number on the internet as a joke.

She explained to Sony Ericsson's Pocket TV: "I had the same cell phone number since seventh grade up to last summer, so a lot of people had my number. Somebody thought it would be funny to post it on MySpace. Loads of people got my number, and I had this person texting me going, 'I know this is you. I know this is you, why don't you answer? I know this is you, why don't you answer? I'm going to keep calling you.' I was like, 'Oh my God!' and I had people leaving me voice messages and text messages, so in the end I changed my number."

That's really creepy, I'd have been freaked out too haha. That sucks that she had to change the number as well, that makes things a nuisance with having to get everyone who had your old number (that you wanted to have it) the new one.
Jordin Twitters On Michael Jackson's Death
Posted on Jun 25, 2009 by Max 1 Comments
This is a really sad day, I can't believe it's the end for one of the biggest icons in pop music ever! He has created so many hit singles it's just unbelievable and so surreal to see that he has passed. Jordin posted on Twitter, like many celebrities, regarding his death:

Jordin Sparks: "Omg I'm bawling right now. Michael...."

R.I.P. Michael Jackson, 1958-2009.

I'm still upset about no sign of "Vertigo," I'm really hoping that this rumored tracklisting isn't completely finished yet and that they'll add that on there somewhere for the standard edition.
New Single Cover
Posted on Jun 19, 2009 by Max 2 Comments
So the new album cover I posted yesterday is actually the new single cover, as commenter Dre pointed out and as I have seen from screencaps off of foreign iTunes sites. This is a cap I took from the US iTunes:

Check out a 500x500 size of the image below:

Currently, this album artwork is not downloading with the single regardless of it showing up before the purchase, but I'm emailing iTunes now!
Possible Tracklisting

Hm, well apparently the tracklisting was posted on the Sony Music Philippines site, but there is no confirmation from Jive yet so, honestly I can't be sure about this.

Don't quite accept any of this as true yet though, there's no official word and the tracklisting doesn't feature "Vertigo," which was in a pretty recent behind-the-scenes video. I don't think they'd leave that one out, it sounds too good.
And It's Back To The First Cover...
Posted on Jun 12, 2009 by Max 1 Comments
Ok, so the official site has been updated again with the original version of the official "Battlefield" album cover that I posted up the first time.

I like this one better, but I still think they could have done so much more with this cover. I hope the full image they used is released, though, because Jordin looks amazing from what we can see of her haha.
